2019 McLaren Vale Aglianico

A very small parcel of this emerging variety, traditionally from the Campania & Basilicata regions of Southern Italy, was fermented in a small open fermenter with twice daily hand plunging, followed by a further 14 days on skins.

The palate has subtle but complex flavours of dark berries, brambles, dried herbs, leather & spices with chewy, savoury tannins and great length.
